Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18 September 2026
These terms apply to the use of this website and to any ride booked with The Turing Company. By booking a ride you agree to them.
Bookings and pricing
Prices are quoted on request and confirmed in writing before booking. A booking is confirmed only once we have acknowledged it and any agreed deposit has been received. Itineraries, distances and dates shown on this website are indicative and may change.
What's included
Each ride page lists what is included and excluded. Anything not listed as included is your responsibility — typically flights, visas, personal riding gear, lunches and personal expenses.
Rider requirements
- You must hold a valid motorcycle licence accepted in the country you are riding in, and carry it with you. International visitors should carry an International Driving Permit.
- You must be physically fit for the ride you book and tell us in advance about any medical condition that could affect your safety.
- Helmets are mandatory at all times. We expect protective riding gear appropriate to the route.
- Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted and will end your participation immediately, without refund.
Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory and must cover motorcycle riding, medical treatment and emergency evacuation for the regions on your itinerary. We may ask to see proof before departure. We are not responsible for costs arising from inadequate insurance.
Risk and liability
Motorcycle touring carries inherent risk, particularly on remote, high-altitude and mountain roads. You ride at your own risk and remain responsible for your own riding, your own decisions and compliance with local traffic law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, injury, death or damage except where caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes, cancellation and refunds
- By you. Cancellation terms, including any non-refundable deposit and the refund due at different notice periods, are set out in your booking confirmation.
- By us. We may alter or cancel a ride for reasons including insufficient numbers, weather, landslides, road or border closures, permit refusal, or anything else outside our reasonable control. Where we cancel, we will offer an alternative date or a refund of amounts paid to us for the unused services.
- We may change an itinerary during a ride where needed for safety. We are not liable for costs arising from such changes, including missed onward travel.
Permits and documentation
Some regions require Inner Line Permits or similar. Where we obtain these for you, you must supply accurate identity documents in time. We are not responsible if a permit is refused or withdrawn by the issuing authority. Visas remain your responsibility.
Damage to motorcycles and equipment
You are responsible for the motorcycle issued to you and for damage caused by negligent or reckless riding, up to the amount set out in your booking confirmation. Fair wear and tear and mechanical failure are our responsibility.
Conduct
We may remove anyone from a ride whose behaviour endangers themselves, other riders, our crew or the public, or who repeatedly ignores safety instructions. No refund is due in that case.
Photography
We usually take photographs on our rides and may use them to promote our tours. Tell us before departure if you would prefer not to appear, and we will respect that.
Website content
Content on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice. Images are indicative of the regions we ride.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
