About This Tour
Chikmagalur is where coffee first came to India, and the roads here climb through some of the state's most beautiful hill country. Over a long weekend from Bangalore we ride to the summit of Mullayanagiri — at 1,930m the highest point in Karnataka — wind through the Baba Budangiri range, and chase waterfalls between estate stays. A touch more challenging than Coorg, with rewarding ridge-top roads and cool plantation air.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Bangalore to Chikmagalur
Ride west across the Deccan into the coffee hills, arriving at a plantation stay by afternoon. Evening walk among the coffee and an estate dinner.
Mullayanagiri & Baba Budangiri
The big day: climb the narrow ridge road to the Mullayanagiri summit, Karnataka's highest point, then traverse the Baba Budangiri range with a stop at Hebbe or Jhari falls.
Chikmagalur to Bangalore
A relaxed morning of coffee before the ride back down to the plains and home to Bangalore.
