About This Tour
Alpine India at its most beautiful. From Srinagar's houseboats we ride the meadows of Gulmarg and Sonamarg, climb the dramatic Zoji La toward Ladakh, and wander the pine valleys of Pahalgam and the saffron fields of Pampore. Snow peaks, shepherd trails, and shikaras on Dal Lake — a softer Himalaya, and a natural gateway to the high country.

Arrive Srinagar
Meet in Srinagar. A shikara ride on Dal Lake and a night aboard a traditional houseboat.
Srinagar to Gulmarg
Ride up to the meadow of Gulmarg — the world's highest gondola and rolling green slopes below the peaks.
Gulmarg to Sonamarg
Cross the valley to the 'meadow of gold', Sonamarg, gateway to the glaciers.
The Zoji La
Ride the dramatic Zoji La toward the Ladakh frontier and back — the valley's wildest road.
Sonamarg to Pahalgam
South to the pine forests and rushing Lidder river of Pahalgam.
Pahalgam to Srinagar
Return via the saffron fields of Pampore and the Mughal gardens of Srinagar.
Depart Srinagar
Transfer to the airport for onward flights.
