Nagaland's Blue Hills

Tribal villages and the misty Naga ridges.

About This Tour

One of the least-ridden corners of India. From Kohima we ride the ridge roads to the green heritage village of Khonoma, the WWII history of the Kohima ridge, and — in December — the colour and music of the Hornbill festival at Kisama. Warm tribal hospitality, misty blue hills, and roads that feel like the very edge of the map.

Highlights

  • Kohima's WWII ridge and war cemetery
  • The green heritage village of Khonoma
  • Naga homestays and hospitality
  • The Hornbill festival (early December)

Best Season

Oct–Apr (Hornbill: early Dec)
