Valparai 40-Bends
Forty bends, elephants, endless tea.
About This Tour
Valparai is the Nilgiris' wilder, quieter cousin — reached by 40 numbered hairpins climbing from Pollachi through the Anamalai Tiger Reserve, where elephants and lion-tailed macaques rule the forest. Over three days we ride that spectacular ascent, wind through a sea of tea estates at the top, and drop back past the Aliyar reservoir. Superb, uncrowded ghat riding with genuine wildlife.
